When I first spoke to Louise, I thought she would not actually be able to find this person that we were looking for. My son-in-law, Kieran, did not know who his father was. There was no name, no place where he lived, nothing. His mother met him on a holiday 30 years ago then they went their separate ways. I had many doubts about this but went along with it thinking “How can somebody just find a name like that. He could have been anywhere in the world; this is a load of boloney”. By the time Louise had done all the hard work on this, we had his name and his age, but sadly his father had already passed away. Kieran met his family, his nana, two sisters and one brother for the very first time. Believe me he was overwhelmed and that was all down to Louise’s hard work. She was very professional, caring and very sensitive to it all. I said numerous times “It’s impossible, she will not do it. I will eat my hat if she finds him”. So, I’m now eating hats galore.
