I contacted Louise at ‘Finding Families’ in the hope that with the recent advances in DNA technology, she might be able to solve my lifelong quest, as I was adopted as a baby 65 years ago with no idea, who my birth father was.
Through Louise’s incredible expertise, dedication & professional attention to detail, she managed to trace my birth father and his parents, my grandparents.
I knew that because of my age there was always a chance that it would not be a ‘happy’ outcome but I have always desperately needed to know where I come from. I think it is a basic need that everyone has.
The work Louise does in helping people find their birth origins is truly life changing. Louise was able to resolve my lifelong query of not knowing who my father was, even if sadly the outcome for me was literally a ‘dead end’!
I will be eternally grateful to Louise for leading me to my Welsh roots. I now know for the very first time in 65 years where I truly come from and who I actually am, so a huge THANK YOU really doesn’t seem enough!
I can now be at peace with myself, complete in the knowledge of my birth parents. I feel whole again for the first time with a sense of belonging!
